I've canoe'd from the Dam to Bel Air Rd (2 decades ago), plan on scraping bottom a lot unless there's been a recent rain.
be careful the river rises quickly and there's lots of boulders to bump yer haid on.
I've caught lbass (7#), pickerel, crappie, bluegill, and carp below the dam and just a cast away from the wall on the easy side. wading that entire section can be done but choose your path carefully. also belly boated the middle pool several; times over the years- theres a good rockpile 1/3 way across with a decent hole on the dam side

What kind do ya have?

made a 12' wooden sit in kayak during the winter. pretty much completed. just need to paint, which i don't plan on doing until i go out once or twice with it.
