I believe they are No 6s. You'll know because they fit the grub well. No jig heads just the hook tied directly to the line with a palomar and a weight heavy enough to hit bottom. If you use jig heads, there's just too much discontinuity with multiple weights on the line for my tastes and I can't feel as well.

Also, I super glue the head of the grub to the eye of the hook and where the hook exist the body near the tail. This keeps the grubs on nice and secure because after awhile they wear and fall down the hook. Otherwise you end up putting new grubs on after every few fish.

A little different then the Yak Fish method, and kind of a wierd video, but here is what I use with some modification:

Instead of the golds hooks and beads, I've used small shad darts tipped with minnows with success in the past, but I may tie up a few like the video and a few like Yak Fish suggests.

Cool, come with ideas because one method may work better for some people than another method.

I'll be there unless it rains. Right now there is a high probability of rain.

Rain ... it figures. I am still planning on being there unless it is pouring down rain, which is different from off and on showers. Showers are easy and the fish sometimes bite better in that environment. I will just bring a rain jacket. I am seeing different weather reports from different websites, but here is the latest....

Chance of showers. Highs in the mid 40s and lows in the upper 30s. 50% chance of showers. Winds 11 mph. High temp so far is predicted to be 44 degrees.

I personally dont care if it rains saturday, I'll fish in the rain, NBD. I'm just worried about rain friday afternoon and night, if its a lot the river could be in bad shape come saturday morning.
As of now it only look like light rain/snow coming in late friday afternoon , which hopefully wont mess up the water too much.

I'll hold off to make reservations for Tidewater until tomorrow.

After your post moc, I decided to check to see how bad it actually would be. Not looking the best but doable. 32mph gusts might be crappy in the open water. Pics are from fish weather ap.

Ryan ........ count me in for the lunch at Tidewater. With the weather getting bad and the hit and miss fishing and someone coming over to give me an estimate on the basement ......... well I won't make the fishin but I'm planning on the lunch.

I just watched the video. I couldn't see it at work. That rig is great if you are using live minnows. If you are using artificials, I've found that it doesn't work as well as tieing the grubs straight to the main line. I'd tried this in the past but I'd miss too many fish because I couldn't feel the bite until they'd let go. It could just be my technique and others perhaps could make it work for them.

Right now, forecast doesnt look like a terrible amount of rain friday or saturday, but there will be some. Also the winds dont look too bad, but building through the day. Temps looking to be well above freezing in the morning, so I will probably plan to arrive arround 730.

I just made a reservation at Tidewater for 15 people at 2pm. We can adjust this number if need be at least an hour before the reservation time.

                          Hope to see everyone saturday!

They will only be "tricky" because Maryland drivers are terrible.

While true...the bridges will have ice even if the roads dont. The last little thing we had, last week? 60 crashes in AA cnty between 6-8AM
