Looks like the temps should be above freezing over night in Pville

Unless it's a downpour, I'll brave the weather.

You guys are funny. I'll be there. I may check and see who is driving from 495 up north and hook up and follow them in like a caravan for saftey. I will bring my rain jacket and my waders should be fine. I may bring a shirt to change incase I get alittle wet. Maybe we should all reconfirm if we are still coming so Shady and all the other members who are coming can have a realistic head count. I have already confirmed unless shady says the weather is too bad by Friday timeframe. I will also make up some perch rigs on Friday so I will not have to tie any while I am out on the water when it is drizzling.

Considering the weather forecast and the drive I have there/back, I am going to sit this one out. Good luck everyone who makes it out.

what are your thoughts on how these VMC dropshot hooks would work for the perch rig? i like them for bass...many hooks dont hang perpendicular to the line...the VMC's work wellvmc dropshot hooks.jpg

What time and at which launch spot has everyone decided to launch? I just wanted to know so I can join the largest group.

Launch around 8 at Jean Roberts. Doesnt look like rain will really come until the early AM, so the river should be in fine shape. Just some showers and light rain to deal with while fishing.

Does anybody need minnow? picking mine up tnite

They'll work ......... I like the one on the video though but a little different. At the bottom I tie a loop so I can change sinkers. Used that rig for years for crappie and perch. used it as a fish finder rig by casting it out and closing the bail immediately so it would swing back through the depths until it was straight down ........ quick way to find the schools and the depths.

I think there nice, but if your using light finesse baits. The added bulk of the swivel can change the way the bait moves, to get your hook to stay straight, I tie a Palomer knot and run the tag end through the top of the eye.

The smallest amount you can buy is a 1/2 pint and this is usually plenty for me, I think 1/2 pint is $4

Ryan, a 1/2 pint o' minnows would be great. Thx!
