Gill... I tried Pax river down by Governor Bridge road two weeks ago. No dice. Have you had any luck in North Tract this spring? I might get out this weekend.

It has been slow at the ponds but a buddy has been able to catch a bunch at Lake Allen when it is open.

Maiden voyage

I took a friend along for the maiden voyage of my new kayak. We had less than two hours and didn't catch any fish, but enjoyed exploring the Rhode River. These pics are at Carr's Wharf launch. The kayak tracked well, but I had to plug the scupper holes with two people in it plus gear. I need to tweak the transducer arm too. I didn't bring tools to adjust it, so it was inaccurate for the side scan, but it was still fun to check out how it works.
