I didn't see any last time I went to H-Mart, but that was a few weeks ago. Thought they might be out of season or something. Will check, because after this long winter, the togs must be hungry.

I need to get out there! Isn't it a 4 hour drive for almost everyone?

Yes, just about, if you're lucky. It took me 7 hours once, because they had closed the HRBT for construction. But it was worth it.

Anyone going this weekend? That 4 1/2 hour drive might keep me closer to home since I can only do 1 day.

If Saturday weather looks good, I may go. It'll probably be a gametime decision for me.

With reported water temp at about 46 deg at CBBT, I'm surprised at the tog activity. With Kipto water above 50, I guess guys will be truckin' down there or to CBBT.

As I have seen so far, blue crabs have not been available at the markets. Frozen green crab and clams should work fine though. I prefer blue crab, and luckily, I have frozen crab from months ago

I won't make it this weekend though. Good luck guys!

Will need to head out at least once before may. I have a friend who has a trophy126 sit in kayak. Do you think he'll be able to survive out there?

It just occurred to me (on Ryan's Tidal.com link). The report didn't specifically say where at CBBT the togs were caught. The reporting angler fished from a boat. Boaters also fish beyond the 1st island where the water can be deeper (and warmer) and can really rip. So, I'm not really sure the bite is "hot" before or after the 1st island.

Indeed... what else might be biting at kipto if the tog are not?
