Anything you want to bring is fine, people will eat it. We still need a fryer (or propane burner and pan) if anyone has one to bring

Has anyone considered dredging and/or battering ingredients for the fish? Seasoning for crabs? I don't want to leave it up to John since he is gracious enough to invite us to his home, and doesn't eat seafood. I always batter my fish, but I think there is some type of premix fish fry product in the grocery store.

Knives for filleting and mallets for crabs are probably needed also, sorry...it's the micro-manager in me!

I can always add more items to my list if no one steps up.....Thanks

For fish fry batter I use McCormick's (the spice maker/manufactureer) Beer Batter mix...it is very good and typically available in/near the seafood section. It comes in the tear open packages like sloppy joe or taco mix. It puffs up nicely, isnt greasy inside...only note once the fillets are dipped, hold them up and let the excess batter drip off...it fries up fairly thick...I guess you could thin it out...add more beer!! Count me in. I'll bring individual serving size assorted chips. A box has 42 assorted bags. Let me know if this isn't enough.

I set that up, .. Somebody spike that ball!

Same what I was thinking Rob. Some marinated meat to throw on the bbq there, I'll bring some pork chops then since you got the chicken.

Sorry for the slow responses from me, work is kicking my a$$. I don't know exactly how many people are coming, looks like about 21 from the current posts.

Use of my grill is fine (it's a crappy gas grill but it works). There is also the fire pit if you want to use that. I have 3 ovens and 2 stoves as well if anybody needs them.

Electric fryer will be fine, thanks!

I'm planning on launching at 0700-ish, you can launch when it is convenient for you. I'll head back to the house around 1030 or 1100, depending on the bite, to start getting everything set up. You guys/gals can head over whenever you want, it's an open house.

*PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I HAVE 3 DOGS. TWO OF THEM ARE VERY LARGE (Great Danes). THEY ARE VERY VERY FRIENDLY BUT I THOUGHT A HEADS-UP WOULD BE PRUDENT FOR THOSE THAT MAY HAVE DOG ISSUES*

If you have any questions or need directions, feel free to call me @ [NUMBER REMOVED]. Looking forward to seeing everyone Sat!

Hay Nay_Sayer, even though I had prior commitments, I looked through this thread and put this rough list together for you. So far it seems that you have at least 13 confirmed. Possibly more, but I could not confirm others intentions as to whether they are coming or not, so I did not list them. But it looks like you will have more than 14 in the end....

                              Thanks Moc!

There are a few vBullentin plugins that are for events but Grilled or StupidJet would have to install it on the site. Maybe in the future we can use Facebook to create the event? Just some suggestions to make it easy for everyone.
