Zeebryd mounting a transom transducer on a kayak would be very difficult because u would have to drill it. What most people are doing is getting the regular transom mount transducer and glueing it in the hull so it reads through the hull. That's the way I will be doing it also. I'm doing it the permanant way and glueing it down with marine goop. Only negative is you lose water temp. There also a way where people take duct seal and mold it to hold the transducer. This isnt perminant so it can be moved but a negative to that is it could come off when ya dont want it to. Downs park would be closer for u to fish and the fish will be running around the same time. I catch them all summer by yak there and the severn

I have a puck transducer that I have placed inside the hull with plumbers putty, careful to make sure that it is making full contact with the hull. This was the way I used it with my canoe. Evidently the kayak hull is too thick for it to go through as it has not worked. It works through my canoe's hull, so I can only guess it has to do with the thickness of the hull. I have tried different locations through the hatch, but so far it isn't working.
I have my old cable with suction cup that was nicked. I may try to repair the cable and give it a go.
My thanks to everyone for the fishing locations. I will be trying them out as soon as I can. I hope to join some of you soon. Not sure about this weekend - from the weather reports, it doesn't sound too great - but that is always subject to change around here.
