For those who might want to spend a Friday night at Trap Pond, a quick look at its web site reveals that the cabins are basically booked on Friday and Saturday nights for the summer. However many cabin sites are currently available throughout the summer on Sunday through Thursday nights.

A few tent sites at $24 per night are presently available on the remaining Fridays in June.

If we want to plan a Friday overnight outing for June we should do it quick.

That said, I cannot go this Friday the 14th. However, I am available on the 21st and the 28th.

I am also available most weekdays. (Retired)

If an overnight outing to DE cannot be arranged perhaps we can plan a Saturday outing in June at a MD pond.

I can do either of those weekends in June and a tent isn't a problem for me.

I have fished wye mills a lot this time of year ,crappie can be caught on mister twister type lures usually chartreuse works best, they are in the middle of the pond about 50 yards from the cement enbankment, I usually troll lures with two or three rods when you go thru a school all three rods go at once , funny when you find the school you would think you just cast into them nope they rarely hit the lure I think it's the way the lure goes thru the water at a consistent depth. When I troll in summer I would throw out a marker then keep trolling past the marker until the bite stops.

Well have to figure something out. I do have Sick days... But I also had 9 days vaca last month. So not trying to piss anyone off haha

The quick we can set up a date the longer I have to give away my OT to make sure I can go!

My bass club had a NIGHT tourny this past saturday. Any eastern shore pond with a public boat ramp. 7 pm - 7 am ... everyone struggled. 1 boat had 26 lbs and 16 lbs. everyone else had 2-6 lbs of fish... Rough for everyone.

I believe they went to Lums. He had two 8lbs and a 6lb on black chatterbaits

Will we need to get a DE fishing license or is the MD tidal license acceptable?

21 $ will get you a yearly DE fishing license

There is also a Wal-Mart near the park that sells them.

If you don't care to purchase a pass for a full year you can get a weekly non-resident license for $12.50.
