I don't think I will make it- O.C. Isn't on my "to do" list....too much like Va. Beach for me with all the jet skiers and power boaters...I am 30 miles south of DC and don't want to do the long drive and waste a fishing trip during the peak of summer season. Seriously thinking about a road trip to Poquoson, launching out of Back River and fishing for cobia off Bluefish Rock

DaddyG are planning on getting into Ocean City Thursday evening. We are planning to fish with Hemingway Friday morning. We have not made specific plans about where we are going, but it will in all likelihood be targeting flounder. All are welcome to fish with us on Friday. Sent me a PM and I will give you my cell number if you are interested in a Friday get-together.

Has everyone replied to this thread and confirmed that they will be at the M&G and whether they are doing lunch also? Please look at the list of attendentees and verify that it is correct for Carl.

We can meet at The Lucky Angler in West Ocean City right off of RT 50, figured that location has parking, bait, up to date reports, and a few places to launch nearby. I'm looking to have Coffee and Donuts from 0630 to 0730, then fish, followed by lunch at Pizza Tugo's (same parking lot) after fishing if anyone is interested. According to Carl, Here is where he suggested meeting in the morning from 6:30am to 7:30am, and to get bait and supplies. I plan on arriving there around 6:30am.

Lucky Angler Bait & Tackle Inc., 9935 Stephen Decatur Hwy #135, Ocean City, Maryland 21842. It looks like it is before the Route 50 bridge into Ocean City.


I think this was the boat ramp that we launched from in a previous OC M&G. Below is a rough address for your GPS, but it will get you near the ramps.

Lunch at Pizza Tugo's in the same parking lot as the tackle shop at 12:30 pm unless everyone prefers another time.

This will be first first, so how do these things work? Does everybody launch and sort of fish somewhat together? Or does everybody go separate ways in smaller groups? Looks like it's an incoming current most of the day....

Ideally, I was planning to drift for flounder and also try tossing jigs around some of the marsh banks for pups and weakfish, depending on how far I drift from the harbor. Curious if most know what they want to do and where they plan to head, north or south, once they leave the harbor?
