Well Slobber, there is no hard and fast rule since these M&G are informal. Typically, we try to encourage everyone to meet up at the time set up the host, just so we can meet each other. From that point we may find that some of you may want to fish for the same species or the same location such as shorelines vs bridges vs inlets. We typically hang in the general area but will often break off for a while in smaller groups of two or more. We would then meet up again on the water and compare notes. A marine radio is handy to stay in contact and volunteer any fishing luck with other kayakers. We would then meet up at the restaurant and share our experiences of the morning, with those that decided to hang out for lunch. Each meet and greet is a little different yet the same. So just come and enjoy and network with other kayak anglers... This tread reminds me that I have to charge my marine radio.

Just got back from the Ocean City family vacations with good results. Took my kayak and fished the "Thorofare" and "West Channel". I was too chicken to fish the Route 50 bridge by myself, so I concentrated on the areas with less current. I found a small public beach to launch into the area which was excellent for a kayak. If you googlemap Keyser Point Rd off Route 50 before crossing the bridge into Ocean City...follow Keyser Point till it dead ends into Selsey Rd. Follow Selsey Rd till it dead ends and there's the beach. Small amount of parking on the left and the water is 20ft away with a sandy beach to launch from.
If you look to the east on googlemaps you will see "Indian Knoll Rd"...this is the area I had my best results. The channel runs parallel to this land mass right to the edge of the grasses. Variations of 3-30 FOW! Tuesday I caught 10 flounder with a 17" and a 21" keeper. Also caught a croaker and a few spot. Wednesday, I fished the same area with poor results since it was slack tide. I did manage my first Sea Robin though! Fished a 1oz bucktail with a 4" gulp swimming mullet and a teaser hook a foot above with just a swimming mullet. All fish were caught on the teaser except for the 21", he was big enough to swallow the 3/0 hook on the bucktail. White and chartreuse were the colors I used, but I heard pink works just as well. I also fished a top and bottom rig with live minnows with only a few smaller flounder to show for the purchase.
Just wanted to share my results before the Meet and Greet....Good luck fellas!!!2015 OLIVE HOBIE OUTBACK

We actually came home a day early because of the weather. Once it gets to be around 8-9am, you will see a bunch of boats drifting in the area I referred too...you can't miss it! Most were using fluke rigs with minnow and squid strips, but honestly...when I switched to jigging the gulp, I was catching 3 to their 1...I think a few were cursing, LOL2015 OLIVE HOBIE OUTBACK
