DDOE's Snakehead Tournament

In an effort to stop the spread of the invasive northern snakehead, the DDOE is sponsoring a recreational fishing tournament, the goal of which is to remove from our waters as many snakeheads as possible. Offering a total of $2,500 in prizes, the tournament will conclude on August 24, with a closing ceremont to follow the weigh-in. Closing ceremonies will be held at DDOE's Aquatic Resources Education Center, located in Anacostia Park.
