Definitely a sad story. I actually swam at this beach at Mackenna State Park in Maui in March and snorkeled around the island you can see off the coast. Just adds to the reality they really are where we are in the water. This will definitely be on my mind the next time I make it back.Shane

YES!!!i agree with all of you
Poor guy...I m used to just let my feet dangling in the water,easier on my legs,back and when i need something on my kayak crate,but no one knows what lurking underneath you,i ve heard that they (sharks) can live and thrive on freshwater,especially those rivers and trubutaries near saltwater.next time i m out i ll try to remind myself!!!
