Tips: make sure you are Capts mtg...many friendly folks willing to give advice. I don't have a ton of experience in this area but it has a lil for everyone. Depths can be 3' to 60'...depends on where you fish. I will bring a portion of chart of the area. I am in Acorn 39, stop by. - WayneOriginally posted by Jacob K. View PostI'll be there, first time. Any tips? I have never fished the Susquehanna. What are typical depths? Areas? I will going at this all green, but hope to slay (and release)!Jackson - BIG TUNA

Thanks for the offer Wayne, unfortunately due to family commitments, I will miss the captains meeting. I have been traveling all week for work and I need to be home for dinner friday night. Any tips would be great. Is millard tydings memorial park a good place to launch? how about Perryville community park? ThanksOriginally posted by wfauby View PostTips: make sure you are Capts mtg...many friendly folks willing to give advice. I don't have a ton of experience in this area but it has a lil for everyone. The lower Susky and the Flats is home field for me throughout the year. I hate to sound cliche, but you cannot ask for better conditions for Saturday! We are going to hit that magical 50 degrees by tomorrow...also it's not very often you are going to get winds this low. It's basically going to be a sheet of glass. Turbidity has been dropping steadily throughout the week, down to 17 units as we speak. Last weekend it was well over 100 with 9 spill gates open. Two spill gates are still open, but I would imagine they will be closed by Saturday.
My one piece of advice...don't tie one on Friday night...so you can really enjoy Saturday. I know, Easier said then done!!2015 OLIVE HOBIE OUTBACK

Saturday should be the best day in awhile. That turbidity is still a little high, but half what it was last weekend. If it gets down to around 6, it's money. It won't get there by Saturday but it'll be just fine. Go get 'em!Originally posted by sparky1423 View PostThe lower Susky and the Flats is home field for me throughout the year. How did everyone do? Where's the pics!?
I fished yesterday and couldn't find any stripers. I'm starting to worry that this year is a repeat of last year. In years past on a day like yesterday, 20 nice fish wouldn't be unusual. I ended up fishing for shad instead. The spring striper season is not like it used to be and it's a bummer.
