yes, I'm in honeymoon stage with it so far. 32G extreme card should arrive tomorrow or Monday.

then comes my continuous loop under charging heat test. then build a portable, waterproof, 10KmAh 3.7v 1A LIPO power source w/dummy battery. I hope I'm as optimistic 2 weeks from now,...

It would be great if you did a write-up on the GoPro waterproof power supply when you get it figured out. The COTS solutions are absurdly expensive.

I ordered a Longshot 12v power source hookup for the GoPro. I got the idea from the thread that Pinch wrote. I had seen the rigs that people were making. The Longshot looks well made. It should just hook up to the 12v battery in the kayak.

It was a banner year at my house. I must have been better than I remembered. New Gopro, Quantum Energy 4000 to replace my pos battle, a reel bag/case, and some new lures.

I also got a new yak. Hobie PA 12. That was really more from my CPA. Said I needed more marketing expenses. I'll apologize in advance for my logo being plastered all over it.

                    Doug -

Thanks for that suggestion. I was looking for an opportunity to write off some of my new kayaking gear. But unless I made money from some kayak-related activity like selling books, doing guided trips, or something else, I did not think I could justify it. But to use it as an advertising/marketing opportunity for my consulting business could be a legitimate deduction. I will check into that.
