Gorging on BKDs I'm guessing... They were in several places around the rockpiles.

Hey chex, nice seeing you out there! We ended up with 5 fish from 16-24" and man were they fat. It seemed like right when we got there the bite was on then they shut down. Had to be in early so with our long paddle we had to scoot. The fish we caught came from 24-36' and wanted the lure not moving much.

1oz was working most of the time, with 6" plastics. I went up to 1.5oz when I switched to 10" BKDs. Any lighter and your lure gets taken by the current.

During catch n release does anybody use barbless hooks? I saw an ad in my work wanted ads for big bullet style Jighead's with replaceable hooks. Do they sound useful for cheasapeak fishing or unnecessary?PigPen - Mt Airy

I believe that if you're trolling, you must use barbless hooks during the C&R season.
As far a big bullet style jig heads with replaceable hooks: If they're as big as I think they are, you probably wont get much use out them from a kayak. And when you do, you'll probably lose a few, so the replaceable hook turns into a replaceable jig. But hey, if you like it get it, especially if you'll be fishing in deep water with strong current. I have a few (not with replaceable hooks though), and I rarely use them. Too heavy.
