Hope you get more luck. As the sun is setting hopefully they will start biting.

Nice job on the cats. I wanted to hit there last weekend but my schedule would not allow. Did you fish out by the channel markers 20ft to 30ft area or are they catching them in closer?

I Always bring Squid when I go Croaker fishing. They love a nice strip of squid..

                            Nice cats

5 - 6u from what i remembered from last year was around 22ft to 35ft close to the markers. Its a pretty steep edge as well. That's the same area that i killed them last year thanks to Joe's reports.

                            Were you anchored or drifting?

Maybe they are hanging closer to shore now in the 8ft to 15ft areas? In the summer i would fish deep during the day and move in closer after sun down.

I know there is a secondary channel running from the ramps to one of the markers that averages around 12ft. That might be a good spot to try.

yea the cat put up a good fight on my light tackle, i was surprised how they all showed up at once(6:30ish). drift, never anchored. i was getting cold(t-shirt n short) around 7pm, so i didn't try shallower area. are you guys still going to bushwood this weekend? i say give it a week or two for the croakers to come in full force!!!!!!
