That makes 3 trips now with nothing to show for it except about 20 miles of paddling. Though there is something to be said about exercise

Also, someone has to ask it. Any chance you are willing to share a how-to, to make that umbrella rig?
I am still a beginner at kayak fishing and have only fished the flats 4 times this year. So far I am 50/50. I find it difficult to troll with a paddle kayak, even more difficult to paddle troll with an umbrella rig hanging off each side. The bass definitely like something the replicates schools of bait fish, but also like something with a lot of action. So if your trolling and your rod tips not moving around. Love my waxwings and big rattle traps.

If you're on a paddle kayak it's best if you have one 14-16' long or you have to be in pretty good shape with good paddling form.

Yeah I have a 14' tarpon. I'm fine with the paddling, I just wish it was a little more slimy. I understand about the umbrella rigs. I'm not on Facebook so no chance of winning, but I'd be interested in buying one or two if you're selling. Thanks for the tips, read your book and loved it. I've been focusing on ditch 1 and West the last few times out.

My Cuda 14 and Shuna Hooked paddle treat me well, just need to work on winds and tide changes for optimum speed.

That looks like the same boat that I've seen there for at least a few weeks. Interestingly, there have been two guys on board and they always ran a pretty loud generator.

From the looks of the location, it is moored outside of HDG marina.

That's definitely the guy...the loud generator was running.

There he was, literally just flapping in the breeze. He didn't seem to care that I was there. He just kept doing what he was doing. Well, I think I've officially seen it all.

I may have solved the mystery. Around the same time of Alan's experience, I found the these floating near Kent Narrows:
