That sucks! Same problem on 32/97/50 for anyone trying to get there from here. I don't even try it after 2pm.

There is a tab for tides.

I fished from 2:30 to 4:30 this afternoon and got 2 shorts. Looked like there was still a good amount of bait in the area so the fish should be back. Maybe it was just a bad day.

Maybe Saturday will be o.k., but it's going to be cool...hopefully my drysuit will be here so I can test it out.

Thinking of going to West by god Virginia for some wild trout fishing. I've only used one of my fly rods this year...dang trolling in the salt got in my blood.
I plan to keep fishing until Dec 15 when the keeper season ends (I want to try Peggy's recipe!) provided the wind stays down and then after that I'll try to hit the trout again. I'm pretty much a weekend fisherman. This Saturday looks pretty good right now. I'm going to head out of Mayo Ridge Marina and fish the South River. They charge $20 to use their ramp, but I can come back after dark no problem. The wind looks like it will be really calm early evening on Saturday, but the tide will be low at 4:50pm so not sure if that bodes too well??? Do the stripers move up in the river at this time? This is my first year fishing them so I'm still trying to learn.

What part of W. Va are you fishing? I spent a long weekend camping/fishing near Franklin for Halloween and the fishing was great. Caught rainbows, browns and brooks (some native).

My buddy lives in Berkeley Springs. So it's somewhere in that area. Not sure exactly where, he'll probably blindfold me when we leave his house. LOL

Yesterday was the 1st time I havent been blown away by the windy conditios. Arriving @7:30, I counted 8 kayaks & 2 boats fishing amongst the birds out front, plus another kayaker just launched. As I was about to launch, 2 more guys...catfish & (?) arrived. When I launched everyone incl the birds had dispersed. I went north where I picked up 2: 17.5"&16", just after meeting Lobo. The 1st wave of fog rolled in as Lobo & I pressed north to Thomas Pt. We used his Navionics app to return us southwest to shore, where we met my buddy who launched later. We casted & trolled as the 2 nd fogbank settled in. Once it lifted we hit deeper water then hit the road where my buddy & I drove to the eastern shore where the fishing was slower than usual but where we caught more fish. Oh, yea, it was good meeting you, Skidsteer, as we were leaving.Another good day meeting good people who kayak & fish!
