I make sure to edit out all the snags, tangles, and god awful disasters on the kayak. Just lucky on that one. Maybe I'll start saving my epic fails for a bloopers video...everyone has them every outing

I was trolling with a paddle tail on a 3/8 oz jig head....probably no more than 4 or 5 feet down??? I'm not good with judging where my lure is....its back there under water somewhere.

From the bridge, it seemed like it took forever to paddle the mile out to the drop. I trolled downstream to the wreck, about 2.5 miles, then turned and paddled back up. Marked 3 fish on the FF but never felt a single hit. Still, I'm thinking about trying there again this Sat or hitting Cornfield Point.

I cheated on opening day and fished from the boat for the boatyard fishing tournament. only trolled 4 lines. had 2 knock downs and a 41" that we released.

Saw one fish caught. Paddled back inshore to the oyster beds around Holland Point. Put out the light tackle and caught 24. Nothing big. ( Mostly 17"-19" / a few 20" / 1 -21".
Get used to it. I've never caught anything trolling out of Chesapeake Beach except for mud, crab pots and oyster shells. jigging small stuff, bottom rigs with worms and livelining are pretty much the only things that work and even then not for much of the year.
