no need to worry about any behavior/ethical issues here , my family and friends are respectful when it comes to that. And you dont park inside the gate, you park outside the gate in the designated field. I agree with preserving the park and launch point aswell so as far as"everybody" "bustin" down there; everyone is welcomed just as long as respect is properly given to the area and surrounding neighborhood.

Park opens at 7am. Unless otherwise advised. I don't wish the AA Water Access get reports like..

"Well you saw what happened at Beverly Triton... you know what's going to happen over here... or there..."

And there goes another great place we can't go to.

Years ago... when I was a young lad...
          I got into hang-gliding...

It was 10 years after the first wave of hang-gliders went about the country side going across
          public and private lands.
During that first 10 years people weren't respectful of the rules laid out and many hills were closed.

My friend and I got an old hang-gliding "fields" book... not knowing of the previous problems.

We met the people and behaved respectfully of the rules, people, and neighborhood. Mind you the rules.
And reopened many hills, with a group not unlike the AA Water Access Committee.

In my opinion... since the AA County Water Access Committee is going through such a stage...
Where once open and public areas have been close... are now beginning to open again..
The current rules should be respected. Why put fuel on the fire for those that don't want public access ?

Particularly in this developmental stage of the AA Water Access Committee.

I've have been going to BevT long before the now access. The gates used to be locked until 7am.
There used to be a big log in front of the walk-in gate....

I'm glad we have access to many places Lisa and her group have opened up. And very much thankful.

It's too painful for me to arrive before 7am anyway...takes me an hour to get there from my home! Getting up before 6am makes me grumpy.

Maybe we should close this thread out and open a new one that is titled Sunday 5/17 to avoid confusion and we can state 7am as the arrival time.

Well, just open a new one...we can't really close it. I mispoke. You were the one kind of spearheading this so I didn't want to just step in and start a new one on my own. Just thought it might be better so people don't get confused and show up on Saturday. I don't think you can rename threads either once they have been created.
