Looks like a great evening guys! Congrats. Did you stay out on the channel edge until dark or did you work your way back along the pilings later in the evening?

BTW, with this warm weather the water temps are going to rise as well. This will increase the stress on the fish so take care to fully revive them before releasing them.

That's what i'm talking about. Great fish and great video. Other than the heat last night the water looked perfect. Man i should have went fishing but i have two rods to finish before my NC vacation in two weeks.

Awesome work, gents. Pinch's sleigh ride was pretty incredible. Too bad it got away.

Toadfinger- we worked our way out to the channel drop and then back in as the sun dropped. I went back to the edge to try jigging a large black ronz but didn't have a hit after dark. Jimbo worked the south span and we worked the north. I usually try to hold them in the water and peddle a little so they start to kick and then let them go. For film sake, I wanted to shoot some swimming away.

JFFoley - Saw Kimbro stop at a few pilings and keep going. Other than that I think we saw 1 or 2 liveliners connect and get it to the boat. Lot of hang ups from them. Tons of braided line and heavy mono out there right now. We all pulled up used line or rigs. Jimbo ended up with a nice tandem!

Kegs - I wasn't planning on keeping fish and even gave pinch my stringer, but ended up keeping a 22" for dinner tonight.

                    MyT- one of these days!

ictalurus - I thought for sure he was gonna snap that rod!

                    mmanolis2001 - surf rods?

I ended up with around 12, I got tired of pulling the camera out and just filmed the first ones and I had to take a shot of that 20" fish on my little tiny 3 foot back up rod! It fits nicely in my hatch and will make a nice bait rod. Pinch had the hot hand of the night and I think he was over 15. I was using an ounce and he was using an ounce in a half, I guess they liked it right on the bottom? Hot-rodding provided no significant gain that I saw.
                    Used to fish more.

Nice catch, I got the report last night by phone. Woke up to my phone ringing and saw it was PINCH... new it must have been important, so I answered. Sounded quite EPIC..

MYT- I always seem to miss the bite too.. haha

Try a teaser tonight? Just a clouser or deceiver... I feel like there were more fish there last night and we kept getting bumps. After seeing how small that bait that jumped into your boat was I feel like downsizing may help?

Awesome to have the calm conditions and fish snapping. Hoping to give it a try again this weekend.
