When ur on a good school of hungry fish, they work great. They also work well when you use them ti tip the hook to keep the real bloodworms on there. It's always good to have some fb in the summer.

So are you guys fishing over an oyster bar? Anyone have a map or chart with the best fishing locations in that area marked?

Yeah, it's an oyster dredge area. Paddle straight out from the launch. You will see the white marker buoy. It's about 3/4 mile out. You cant miss it. We fish the area all around there, drifting.

Welp...my fish have been decimated. Perfect reason for another outing. Next trip will be a night trip to romancoke for croaker. If you've been wanting to fish at night, but haven't had the guts to do so solo...stay tuned for details so we can get a group outing for some easy going bottom fishing.
