Wow, that one could compete with the ones they catch on the handfishing shows. My biggest flattie was 25 lbs, but from boat, cant imagine the fight you got from that one!
Great Job on the catfish Micheal! I was thinking of going there in the afternoon, but I thought that everyone would be gone. Then I found out some of you stayed and caught a mess of crappie! Was that a flathead catfish that you caught. this is a great shot!
Just noticed the top channel cat on here is 23".
Sorry, I dont have a measuring device on this picture, but this fish was almost 9 pounds and 26", take it or leave it. Caught in September 2011 from the patapsco.

I've got one bigger than that, though some might want to argue about it being a blue. Doesn't look like any blue I've seen or caught around here. It was about 29" and 17lbs.
I'll start a hickory shad record with a 14.9" from the Potomac last year. First one I catch in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXntHl6eQP8
Nearly all my fishing stills from last year are on a currently broken hard drive.

In my home waters Raystown lake the channel cats taken from clear water are quite blueish colored with small specs. The fish taken from mud bottom up lake are brownish and look completely different. Same fish.

Yep, here's my first shot of it while weighing it. Occoquan May 2011 It dragged me all over until I was able to get to the shore. No way I was going to bring that big slimy thing in the yak with me.
