I took my new Vibe Skipjack on it's first Severn launch this morning. It was also the first time I have ever used a C-tug. Boy, I should have bought one of these years ago. My Malone never worked great at Jonas Green or at Beverly Triton. The C-tug with the sand wheels made carting a cake walk. The only thing I changed on the C-tug was the strap. I put a 1 inch ratcheting strap on it as the one they supplied just slips.
I tried both sides of the river from the 450 bridge to the 50 bridge and I trolled the channel edges. I only wound up with one seven inch perch which I caught in my first 15 minutes on the water. I figured with an out going tide things would have been hotter but no such luck. I also spoke to several folks fishing from the bridge and the beach and they had nothing either.
