I'm glad everyone had a great time. I went out to Piney Point a day before yesterday with Mike and it was slow too. But I love fishing there. It's something different from fishing in north MD. Hopefully bite will get better as time goes by. I'd love to come down again. Thanks Mike for arraning this event.

Sorry I missed lunch, but I had to head home, too. As a heads-up, Bluhaven doesn't sell, rent, or repair Hobies anymore, which stinks. They had a good shop there. I guess I'll have to take the boat to Backyard Boats in Annapolis or Woodbridge. Be sure to keep an eye on the rudder cable that runs through the underside of the rudder (left rudder cable). Mine wore through at the nut where the line goes through the rudder. I'm glad it was nice and calm out because it would've been a long paddle back if there had been any waves.Yellow Hobie Revo Rube Goldberg

No doubt it has happened to others. If BYB has a theory as to the cause please share it with us.
On consolation for you on the trip is that the Revo is easy to paddle.Mark

Thanks to Big Mike for hosting; what a beautiful area you have for fishing. This was only my second attempt at fishing from a Kayak so I made my fair amount of mistakes; could not get my wheels removed and replaced without help (thanks again Mike) forgot to bring my skeg and keel up when landing and I was able to break a fishing rod in half while trying to troll. Besides that I had a good paddle, met some nice guys and even caught a few schoolie stripers. All in all a success!
Thanks for doing these meet and greets - I really appreciated seeing some of the other setups and meeting some of the guys that post.
Looking forward to the next one in July.

Pan fried up the fish I caught from yesterday and made a really big bowl of potato salad...the 12 inch white perch make just perfect size filets for pan frying...and the 20 1/2 inch Striper filets need to be cut in two pieces to fit in the frying pan...liberally used Creole Seasoning and dusted white corn meal...delicious meal of fresh fish...topped off a really fun M&G..."Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS

Beautiful day Saturday, and while temps were hot, fishing was slow, and i'm happy to have had some healthy perch and schoolie striper pullage. Thanks Mike for hosting all of us scallywags, lunch was fantastic!
