Glad you guys had a good time at Carr's... been a long time since I've been there.. guess I should pay a visit.
It was my first trip on the Chesapeake with my first kayak years ago..
I had a 10ft surf rod in the one flush mount rod holder and a light rod across my lap.
I found in OEM packaging at the local thrift store one of those casting fish finders... and a wrist watch screen.
I towed the transducer behind me on 30lb test.. it actually showed the depth pretty well.
I caught croakers up there.. my first fish on the Chesapeake.. not counting when I was a kid.
My car old Garmin GPS.. couldn't even find Carr's... I had to stop and ask a fella.. if he knew of it..
and he pulled out of his car.. uhh.. what do they call.. them... oh yeah.. a map :-) and I got there.
Since then.. well so many adventures.. so many holes drilled.. so many pieces of pvc cut...
