Thank goodness for catfish this year. With the challenges we've had with weather, temperature, salinity and all the catfish have saved my season. Not a kayak story, but this past weekend my wife wanted to go away so we headed to the Susquehana. At first she wanted to take the kayaks, but I thought it might be too much with the iffy forecasts last week. Instead we took two poles and some gear. While there we met a nice guy who was catfishing off a dock. After a quick trip to Walmart to get new hooks and different bait we were there the next afternoon. Two hours later we left with 9 keeper catfish. My wife was beside herself having fun. You can't change mother nature, so change with her.
