          I'm not surprised at all by the sewage spills. I think they happen often but are often reported to MDE because it's the law but as far as making the news on TV or the local papaers, doesn't happen often. The entire upper Patapsco isn't the prettiest or cleanest of waters in the state. There are chemical plants, there used to be paint plants, steel mills, etc. all along the river there. I'm sure they didn't always follow the regulations for dumping their waste products. The one thing I always remind myself is that a fish I might catch in the Patapsco today might be caught way up in the Upper Choptank next year. None of us know where exactly the fish sold in stores comes from or how they were processed and handled before getting to those stores. I know one thing for sure, those fat white perch sure taste good with some spicy seasoning on them.
