I think the Perch may have been 8" at the most and both Bullheads were probably 11-12"

Ill be getting plenty of nice perch very soon...

I fished about 500 meters up from Ft Washington for about an hour and pulled in 3 cats on nightcrawlers. The first bite of the day was the biggest by far and ended up breaking my pole and line. It was my all time favorite pole (5' Shakespeare ultralight). It has been quite the overachiever, so at least I lost it to a good story.

        1st cat was 21"
2nd cat was 24" inches and gave a fantastic fight! (picture attached)
        3rd cat was 18"

I tried beef livers also with no luck.

The wind started wearing me down, so I paddled in after only an hour. I went over to Occoquan to see if the Shad had by chance arrived early. Tried some darts and spoons for about 20 minutes with no luck. I think its safe to say that the run is not on yet (water temps still in the 40's). I tried nightcrawler in a couple of spots from the bank as well, but no luck.

Wheatly Lake today was productive- I caught more bass today than I ever have- quit counting after twenty- Bill and Kevin had the same luck- we all caught a bunch of fish- it was windy, but we did fine-

I had the catfish last night and it was quite tasty. This was the first time that I had it in nugget form and also the first time using a corn flour based coating. First I cut the filets into 2-3" nuggets and soaked it in milk. Then I used this for the coating after adding a little cajun seasoning:

By the time I thought to take a picture of the fish, there was only a few pieces left...

Fine stuff, but you can make your own just as easily- use white corn meal and Tony Cachere Cajun seasons

That was a nice kitty kat that you got. I guess my spot did not let you down. I want to try there again, but I might pay the $5 bucks to launch from the marina since it is closer to the spot and I will want to try just north of the second creek.
