I fished the day before at Fletchers. Best advice I can give you about anchors is when in that area of the potomac use a rock. The boats they rent from fletchers give you old rope and a rock. Also, the last M&G several guys suggested the "rock trick." Remember, the highest form of flattery is copying some ones ideas!

Used my 9.5 Sit inside hertiage and got a rock from the shore. Tied it to my anchor line and then used the anchor in the kayak to keep it all together. Really worked well. If it got stuck, just paddled up stream and the rock always came loose. Really got attached to that rock.
