I can relate- A few weeks ago I was at the Rt. 225 bridge on Mattawoman Creek, slid the Ocean Prowler 13 onto the launch area and my feet slipped out from under me on the slick mud bank and off I went- had to swim out in the middle to retrieve my hat- and yes, it was cold- my IPhone 4S was perfect though- I have the $80.00 lifelock waterproof case -

Yeah, I was debating between borrowing a neighbor's yak or heading for the boat.

A reputation for catching fish or for doing stupid crap?

Ouch! That could've hurt! Glad you and the phone were ok. How do you like that case? I've been debating between that and the smartphone dry bags. The bags are much cheaper but I'm not sure which is safer.

Burt, you'll have to keep an eye on my spot for me. The baby will be here Monday or Tuesday. I'm going to be out of commission for awhile.

I think everyone who has ever launched at the bridge has busted their ass on those mud banks at one time or another...either under the bridge or at the launch with the roller. I know I've done it a couple of times!...but it's worth it.

Despite the challenge, you got a new look at your boat and that is a nice fat fish.

The drop off at the 225 bridge launch is deep- six inches off the bank it is six feet deep- the rollers are slicker than snail snot- banks are nasty clay mud- first time there I was swimming in the middle of the creek before I knew it- I like the Iphone case- I have had it two years, been swimming with it (not intentionally) had it in a drenching rainstorm in Oregon salmon fishing- no problems at all-$80.00 is pretty expensive, but it protects an expensive phone-
