02/18/2013 Shore Fishing the Pauxent For Yellow Perch

    There are two piers. One at the main visitor center and one that almost deadends at the road that you are on just before you turn into the road that leads you to the visitor center. The Pier does have no fishing signs from the pier on weekends, but it is ok during the weekdays. If you cannot go on the pier, then there are some shoreline immediately to the left of the pier when you are facing the water. I think the road to stay on that leads you to the pier and shoreline was Croom Airport Road.

    The bait that we used for the cats were nightcrawlers. We caught more channel cats there, than blues. i was surprised when I hooked up with the blue catfish.

        When you guys refer to "plantation grounds" are you refering to Mt. Calvert or Selby's Landing?
