What a beautiful day under the bridge. I launched from SPSP around noon after a stop at Anglers where I got 15 spot. I did not want to waste any time trying to catch them.
Within 3 minutes of dropping in the first spot, I had a 22" rockfish in the boat.
During the next 6 hours, I caught another 13 rockfish. Only 4 of them were below 18". I was livelining spot with a 1oz weight. Most fish were caught on pilon #16 (southern span) 10'-15' down. Every soaked spot resulted in a striper, except for the last one that got lethargic.
There were many many boats out, but strangely, I didn't see anybody else catch a fish. Come to think of it, that makes total sense, considering I was the only boat with Mojo on board.
