I used to fish for flounder in that area years ago. It is nothing like it was back then. You could catch keeper flounder all day long. It is really shameful what has happen to the fisheries along the East coast.Comment

I entered a flounder / fluke kayak fishing tournament in Jersey at the end of July. Great 2 day event. Fished the Manasquan River and had over (80) flounder for the two days. (Only two were legal. Needed to be 17.5”). Encouraging though for the future. Wife fished it as well and caught a bunch. The guys that fished 20 miles north at Sandy Hook had the same deal with a ton of shorts, (Again, that's encouraging). Many caught at least one 24” + up there.
