LOL. Looks like a good book, CP.Originally posted by Cowpokey View PostI picked this book up when I got stationed here the first time (2001) and it stays in the bookstand next to my recliner. It has lots of pictures...so it has helped shallow up my pool of ignorance.

Thanks for the link, Howard. Very useful.Originally posted by HJS View PostYep... shad, herring and menhaden (plus sardines), all in the same family, Clupeidae. Here's a link to the "Fish Facts" section of the MD-DNR website. Bookmark this page for future reference. Just about every fish you can catch or snag in Maryland waters is described in laymen's terms along with good pictures.

Hi Alan. It's not perfect, but it gets me to the eastern side. It's a little under a 1/2 mile walk + 25 yds of sand. The walk isn't bad with a cart, but the sand is a pain at the end of the day when you're tired. I'm looking into getting a cart with more sand friendly wheels which should help things. Additionally, the beach is pretty crowded in the summer afternoons which adds to the difficulty when dragging the kayak back to the main path. Again, a sand friendly cart should help a lot.Originally posted by Yak Fish View PostNice job man! How was the launch at Terrapin, ok? Hi Mustafa-According to my gps it's a little over 1 mile 'as the crow flies' to the deeper part of the pipe that has been productive for me recently.Originally posted by AbuMasgouf View PostNice going bro!
