It looks like I'll be there Friday. I'm going to bring the wife to hang out at the beach while I fish. I'll find you guys out there since I'll probably show up a little later.

[QUOTE=Cowpokey;90424]What tide prediction is best for the bridge? Do you go off of the Annapolis/Naval Academy? Also, what part of the tide is best, incoming high, outgoing low?

I like to use CBOFS for currents (see link below). Probably the same data that chex gave, just in a different format. I've caught a few on the slack, but, most when the current is ripping.

How do you hook the spot when your live lining? Through the back?

I hook them right behind the dorsal fin. I believe this makes it easier for them to swim away vs hooking in the mouth.

I see some are planning to launch from the eastern side. Is this because you live over there or because its closer to the piling you plan to fish?

Where are folks planning to catch spot? Are there any known productive bait catching holes?

I don't know where to go either but have seen people fishing for them south of the bridge on the west side and on the way to the rock piles. Follow the other boats if I can is my plan. See you guys tomorrow morning. I have a yellow outback.

So... if perhaps this is you first time live lining with Spot or whatever...

Hooking on the dorsal as Chex mentioned is one of the ways to do it...
                        But then again....

                          Do spot prefer shallow water?

Lots of good info there. I was catching spot the other day right next to the beach buoys.
