Looks like we both started with Jackson Cuda's!

The first fish is a Snook and the last is not a Perch but a Peacock Bass. These pics were from me fishing Lake Gatun in Panama (snook & peacock) the Rock was caught in the Chesapeake.

I am merely a noob here but I wouldn't mind fishing those areas to learn. Thanks for the heads up!

Don't we all wish we could catch Peacock Bass & Snook locally... Would be a dream come true. However we do have some great fishing in the area so really no room to complain. Right?

This weather needs to warm up already!

So far just a sonar/chartplotter. I plan on adding some track to her this year, but she fishes great as is.

Don't need much hunting snakeheads or LM bass in these areas. Rod, tackle, PFD and a paddle is about it. Just get way back in them weeds...

I completely agree. Another good place that isnt too far to look for LMB is Matawoman Creek. I've caught some pretty decent fish there near the head of it.

You are more than welcome, I usually go after work on weekdays when is not crowded and the weather is nice. By the way nice picture of the snook(One of my favorite species to catch) and peacock bass.

I've fished Riverbend quite a few times, but have not yet been to Pohick or others. Let me know when you go! Can't wait to get out this season...

Yeah man! always looking for someone to fish and especially kayak with.

                                Where do you live?

I am in Tysons and soon moving to Falls Church, which is why Riverbend is convenient for me.
