I'm looking forward to this. I just stocked up on new sweet water tackle and will be ready for the Snakeheads.
Got the following to add to my bass tackle.
Buzz Frogs
Swim Baits
Spinner Baits
Buzz Baits
Senkos
Lizards
Jigs
4" Tubes
Now i just need to clear out a box to throw this new stuff into and decide which rods to bring. Is anyone going to try and fly fish for them? I bet a big Hair Bug or Frog would get there attention.
How far up creek have they been catching them? I'm looking at google earth and it looks fishy back in the tributaries. Might be some areas back there to hit.
Question about the required license. Does the MD Bay Sport License cover the tidal Potomac? This stuff is getting confusing. I have the following Licenses now
MD Bay Sport
VA Freshwater
NOAA Card
MD Saltwater Reg (Thanks for the info on that)
Am i missing anything?Last edited by mmanolis2001; 07-04-2011, 05:36 AM.

So I think you're good as long as you don't go past the Rt 225 bridge.Yellow Hobie Revo Rube Goldberg

2) Grinder's Seafood. 4665 Indian Head Hwy in Indian Head, MD 20640 (301) 743-7344. They do sell beer. No wine or hard stuff. http://www.yelp.com/biz/grinders-seafood-indian-head
These places are actually next door to each other. I called both and they provide counter service. There are enough tables we can put together for a bunch of us. Both were suggested to me by Capt. Mike Starrett, a local guide.
Let me know if you plan to participate so we can get a head count and I'll make a reservation for 1PM.

I have been eating BBQ from grilling over the holidays- rather have seafood, but either works for me-"Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS

The staggered approach may not be a bad idea- some fish early, some fish later, some fish until dark-
Based on what I have seen- I want to fish the rising and 2 hours of high tide..."Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS
