I rarely fish dark colors, i dont know why. In the bay the main colors are white chartruse, electric green/yellow and pink (sometimes). the only darker color i fish in the bay are storm shad.

I got them awhile back because joe's flies makes great stuff. I just havent used them yet.
Ah! I used to use those all the time for smallies and trout. They flat out kill it. I had a day a couple years ago below the dam on the new river in hinton wv where I caught over 50 smb and about the same of red eyes in about 2 or 3 hours. It was absurd. Every cast action. I went back the next day and caught 6 total. One of those right place right time kinda things...

yes black bucktails and black BKDs are killers at night. i painted some black leadheads and tied them black and some black with red feathers going to try them sunday night
