          Nope not mepps but a good guess. I do have a few mepps lures in the box though.

            I have about 30 of those flies, lefty's deceivers, that I tied over the winter for teasers. I need to dig them out.

              Well it is a deciever but it comes from joe's flies. http://www.joesflies.com/shop/catalo...omb-p-116.html

              I got them awhile back because joe's flies makes great stuff. I just havent used them yet.

                Ah! I used to use those all the time for smallies and trout. They flat out kill it. I had a day a couple years ago below the dam on the new river in hinton wv where I caught over 50 smb and about the same of red eyes in about 2 or 3 hours. It was absurd. Every cast action. I went back the next day and caught 6 total. One of those right place right time kinda things...

                  yes black bucktails and black BKDs are killers at night. i painted some black leadheads and tied them black and some black with red feathers going to try them sunday night
