wow 22 kayakers so far. I'm looking forward to this. Does anyone know the water temps in that area? The smart buoys have been pulled out and I cannot find any info. I don't have a drysuit but will try to dress the best way I can.

That buoy seems to go off-line frequently, I wonder why. I'm very surprised by the turnout as well, should be a good time!

Tuesday it was 39 degrees.

They usually pull the buoy out of the water around mid November and reinstall it just before the spring C&R season. Expect the water to be in the high thirties

Like Sparky said they pull the HdG bouy to avoid damage because the flats usually ice over in the winter.

Wow, we are going to have a great turnout! Looks like parking is going to be an issue. As mentioned in the original post, it would be appreciative if we could leave some the trailer parking spots open for the boaters. I'm sure us kayakers are not the only ones with cabin fever! Directly across the RR bridge is David R. Craig Park. Plenty of spots are available for overflow parking. If we could get half of our group to park in this area everyone will be happy. No problems with unloading at Jean Roberts and parking at David R. Craig Park. Or just rig in the overflow lot and wheel your kayak to the ramp, the sidewalk should be clear of snow....Thanks again.
