Don't be ashamed, a few of us caught fish. The weather and water were both very cold. Those were my first fish caught in tidal waters, and I haven't fished freshwater since then (in the kayak). So I tend to think of that M&G as a success. I had a great time.

Anyone heard of any reports from Poplar Island and the vicinity? Curious if there's blues or croaker of any size being caught in the area, or just white perch and rockfish.

Hey guys the weather looks good for Saturday. The winds so far 8 to 11 coming out wnw.If you want be little more protect go up inside Jefferson island.
Don't forget lure for the bucket.

Wow, I just checked the weather report this afternoon for Lowes Wharf and the winds have died down. Saturday the winds will be in the morning from 2 to 7mph, and 9 mph by 2pm. If this holds true, it will make it a very enjoyable day for all.

For those of you who want to participate in the Snaggedline Bucket of lures, just bring a new, unused lure or fishing related item to lunch and throw it in the bucket (Coop will write your name down). A name will be pulled halfway through lunch and the winner will get the entire bucket of donated goodies. Additionally, Coop is having a second bucket for the one who catches the biggest fish. Participation is not mandatory and is only for fun. Only those that donate a lure/fishing item to the bucket will qualify to win for the biggest fish and the bucket of lures.
