Well, we'll have atleast two EKs out there to offers tows if needed... lol.

I will probably get to Jean Roberts a little after 8 just to get everything on my yak set up and survey the conditions.

Currently the winds dont look too bad for the morning, but everytime I look the rain/snow chance keeps getting higher and creeping further into the day:

I definately won't move up the lunch time, but if you really think I should move it back an hour, I can.

    Chex,
I have one of my perch rigs setup with shad darts too, but I plan on tipping them with minnows. This worked good for me the last time.

I agree Ryan. Leave your time as you have it since I can see that the morning seems better than the afternoon for fishing.

Did someone say that they can pick up minnows earlier in the post because they are near the bait shop? I would like 1/2 pint, or however they sell them. Otherwise, I will just use my plastics.

Yup, I can pick them up.

If anyone else wants me to pick up minnnows for them let me know by tomorrow afternoon. 410-598-2393. I think they are $4 or $5 for a 1/2 pint.

I remember that day too. That was the first I ran into you guys. Everyone tucked back in by owens. On the way back I was riding waves all the way back with spray going everywhere while I was yelling, "yee haaaa!" Terrible idea, hahaha.

Do you think it would be better to launch from Owens Marina to avoid the wind? Anyone have an address for it? I looked on Google Maps and saw two marinas. Is there a fee to launch a yak?

I believe it's 7 dollars plus 5 dollars to cross the bridge near owens.

                    Bill -

When I fished in Perryville last month, I paid the extra toll on Rt 95 to get to the north side of the Susquehanna bridge. Owens marina in Perryville has a fee of $7 to launch. The day I visited, there was nobody in the marina office to accept the payment. There is a box with envelopes next to the ramp. You can pay your launch fee there. However, on the day I was there, there were no envelopes in the box.

There are several deep holes within one cast's distance out from the floating docks that accompany the launch ramp. Normally this is a great spot to find YPs. The day I was there in early Jan, I caught about 20 YPs there, but none were above 8" and all were skinny. I have not heard of any good catches in that area recently. The best reports were of finding holes off of undisclosed creek mouths.

                      Gentlemen -

After hearing the weather forecast on TV this evening and checking out the weather.com hour-by-hour forecast for Fri night and Sat morning in Havre de Grace, I am going to cancel my plans to join the group at the meet and greet. It will be cool (30s) and may rain or snow throughout the entire time.

I wish you all a good time, safe boating and driving, and productive catching. I look forward to some good reports.

                        Well folks,

I think Im gonna bow out unfortunately. The forecast is pretty much making my decision for me. Thats a long drive to fish in what has a good chance of being snotty conditions. I don't mind the cold...but add in wind, precip, and relatively meager fishing...meh.

Bill and I are out too, sad to say. My Dr and wife are happy with this decision......I am disappointed but seems a wiser path than braving those elements.

Sorry to say I am out for tomorrow also. Have a job to do in the morning, I am going to try and get out on the Ocoquan mid day.

                              Be safe and good catching.

With less of us coming and probably less people fishing from the docks, the parking situation at Owens may be better than previously anticipated.
