Welcome aboard Finaddict! Reports from the bay look good, the WP should be plentiful!

I am interested. I don't know if any of my partners will come. What do we need to bring? Besides a kayak and fishing rod?

Looks like we are going to have a good turnout for the M&G!

I have gotten a lot of questions on what to bring for the cookout so I'll post everything here.

              Will Have's:

              1. Hot Dogs and buns
              2. Some Chips
              3. Potato or Macaroni Salad
              4. Iced Tea
              5. Grill, 3 Ovens, 2 Propane Fryers
              6. A few chairs and tables
              7. A 10 x 10 canopy
              8. Paper plates/cups/napkins

              Needs:

              1. Drinks (BYOB/Sodas)
              2. Sides to share
              3. Lawn/camping chairs
              4. Breading/Seasoning for fish
              5. Fryer oil
              6. Cookies
              7. Chips
              8. Fishing tales/stories
              9. Anything else you want
              10. Cooking ability, I don't know a thing about cooking fish.

I have plenty of space and tools if you want/need to rig anything on your yak (bring marine sealant if you need it, I am just about out. I do have long 5/16" aluminium rivets).

              My address is:

              (ADDRESS)

You can call me if you need to at (PHONE NUMBER)

I can make arrangements for people to drop stuff off at my house before the M&G if you needed.

I plan on making a test crabbing venture on Friday. If I catch a descent 1/2 to 1 basket of crabs, then I will bring them to steam at the M&G. I can bring some Sodas too. IF I get blue crabs then I will have all of the seasonings for them. I can bring a pot to cook them in if you have a propane burner that will accomodate a turkey fryer size pot.

Why don't you compile a running list of definite confirmations of board members so at a glance we can see how many anglers are coming so we can now how much stuff to bring or not, for sharing.

                      ? About cookout

I've been fishing and boating my whole life but am new to the MKF forum and kayak fishing. I take it this is a monthly meeting/paddle/cook out?

I would love to meet you all. I have to work Sat but might be able to get off early enough to get down there. What time does it usually go on until?

                      Thanks.

We do a monthly M&G where anyone who wants to can come and fish. This is the first cook-out that has followed one as everyone usually hits a close by restaurant/watering hole afterwards. It is usually up to the host that month to find a place or a few choices of places to go for lunch. I am hosting this one and thought a cook-out/fish fry might be fun and it seemed like everyone agreed. Plus, IMHO, the choices for food around there are overpriced and sub-par.

You are welcome to join in, don't know when it will end but grab my number from a couple posts below (dont want to post it too many times and end up with a ton of sales calls) and give me a call when you are about to head over and I'll let you know if things are still hopping.

                        Oh yeah, welcome aboard!
