I'm waiting to see work schedule. Only reason I haven't registered. Hoping I can make it. Sounds like a great time and I know it's for a great cause.

You guys have done a really great job organizing this. Thank you.

Is the Camp Wright launch the same as Mattapeake? And is the parking (for a non-camper like me) where I think it is? See map: (EDIT: this map is bad, don't look at it)

Looking forward to it. I'm already preparing my tackle box, and I'll bring some bread in case all else fails.

I see. Thanks. Am I closer now?

And I'm guessing this free launch only applies to the tournament day and not any other time?

I believe the sandy beach next to Matapeake is the general area of the launch. I think there might be a fence or signs stating where Camp Wright's property starts, but you can from Camp Wright see the Matapeake launch. We are allowing launching from Matapeake, or Romancoke at your own cost dollar wise. Launching is free from Camp Wright only for the tournament with your Tournament entry fee for the Friday to Sunday. The launches were expanded only to public ramps on Kent Island, because weather conditions can affect fishing in one area, but not another.

None of the tips from last year will apply to this year unless we get a monsoon next week. The Bay was in terrible shape for last year's tournament.

PM? Here's a link for everyone from our web page. It is from last year but should give you, and everyone, some idea on "how to". BKD's, bucktails, bass assassins or other jigs with just enough weight to detect the bottom and do some vertical jigging. Every time I watch it, it gets the juices flowing!

I just scraped rockfishing because it was so crappy and went after perch and happened to get lucky and catch a bluefish haha

I plan on being there at 12 noon to begin setup for Registration and signing the wavers. Check in is at 3:30pm, but I do not believe there is a problem if you get there around noon. I will defer this to one of the other directors who are directly involved with Camp Wright. I do know at least one other yaker asked to come earlier on Friday around Noon when there is one of the other directors there.
