I'll check into that. Is the takeout right under the bridge at Point of Rocks? I see something there in Google Earth.
Bad thing though is it would ruin me shuttling anybody from Lander.

Point of Rocks ramp is right below the bridge. It has a very nice parking lot with lots of spaces.

If needed I can bring my 16' utility trailer which should be able to fit 6 yaks (maybe more) and can carry 5 additional people in the truck (F150 crew cab)

Thanks. I think I am going to go that route, Brunswick to Point of Rocks. I can still shuttle anybody from there or from Lander on the way back up to Brunswick.

Man if the weather is anything like today it will be a beautiful trip. Hope the fishing is beautiful also.

The ramp used to be directly under the bridge, it's now about 100 yards east of the bridge on the same access road. Here's a link to Bing maps which has newer aerial photos showing the new parking lot and ramp. http://binged.it/1ddltw5
I think there will be plenty of shuttle vehicles, I too have a crew cab pickup. Do what's best for you!

Event 3 for the Mid-atlantic tourny was back at the end of June, and we fished this same stretch with the POR gauge reading just above 3 feet. Fishing was good and water levels weren't a problem at all.

Anyone planning on dropping off truck at takeout prior to heading to Brunswick. I was thinking about either leaving truck at takeout and either hitching a ride up to Brunswick, or vice versa. I can carry an extra yak up to Brunswick if someone want to leave a truck at the take out. PM me. I was thinking of getting to take out at 6:30AM. I could use either POR or Lander for take out. All the same to me.

If no one is interested , I'll just head to Brunswick. I plan on being there on the early side. I have a Brown Acura MDX with roof racks. It'll be loaded with a Orange Pamlico 100. Little boat.

My work took me to Leesburg Va today. Drove over bridge at POR. She looks Shweet!

I'm an idiot. I can shuttle only three. Kind of forgot that I have to leave one truck at the takeout. Can shuttle up to three people a little tightly from Point of Rocks up to Brunswick in the morning. I'll be at POR at 6:30.

OK, POR fishers. Mike, and myself are meeting at POR ramp at 6:45. Don V will be there at 6:30. I'm sure I'll make it prior to 6:45 in any case. You can shuttle either beforehand or afterwards, but you have to shuttle.

Hi this is Ken. I'm getting to this thread late. Is it too late to join this meetup? If not where exactly are you all meeting, parking and shuttling? Any cost for shuttle? I have fished this stretch and done very well!!

Not to late. Shuttling is just being worked out between the people going. Everyone is meeting at Brunswick to put in. Some are taking out at Lander and some at Point of Rocks and are dropping vehicles there in the morning.

I have to be off the water by 11ish. Probably doing a single access at Landers. Feel free to paddle over and chat/share tactics. I'll be in the off color green Ride115. The color is better known as Baby Poop River Bottom if anyone follows Chad Hoover on facebook.
