Southern md/eastern shore ponds for bass/pickerel ............ crappies should still be schooled @ broad creek/conowingo creek ........... still a couple weeks early for shad/whyte perch/stripers ............ trout/crappies around piney run maybe ........

went to the potomac. saw one gizzard shad snagged.... that was it... not hits at all. oh well... nice to get out.

I pansied out since it was raining off/on, stuck doing karting league tomorrow.

I checked the airport at Fredericksburg, and it was probably a good thing you didn't go. At first I was kicking myself for not going out, then we got a bunch of little hail, and I was happy for being a pansy.

Nice work on the pickerel, mdmakaira. They're a lot of fun to catch. I wish my local reservoir had big ones like that.

Sorry to hear about the skunks, gents. I thought I was going to end up with one today, but two trout took pity on me--one right as I was heading back to the launch. It was a nice day to get my April fish.

Definitely ......... Piney Run is a great place to yak .......... they have bass, stripers and even trout I think ..........

You don't need any special permit for piney run just a daily launch pass.

Called Easton Kayak and they said they are supposed to have it done theis weekend sooooooo ......... if the Yak is done and the creeks don't rise and the invitation is open then I'm in for Sunday ..........

I just sent off for my permit to fish liberty res. 60 bucks for one season. a little excessive but, I was unable to get my permit to loch raven.

I got hassled by the baltimore city watershed police, or whatever they are, last saturday at loch raven. He insisted that fishing from a kayak is not allowed on any of the city reservoirs and that it is a 60$ fine, he even showed me the rules and regulations sheet that he had and it did say no fishing from a kayak or scull. he was being a real d*ck at first, telling me all this after i had my yak all rigged and ready to put in the water. He eventually lightened up and we started chatting about fishing in general and he said i could fish today and he wouldnt give me any s**t... this time. I spoke to kevin who runs the fishing center and he told me that that rule had changed and we are allowed to fish there from yaks and that he'd call the watershed police office and figure out what the deal was. Luckily for you fjarhead the officer said he never goes over to liberty or pretty boy unless he has to so you shouldnt have to deal with him. Sucks about not getting the loch permit though its a much easier lake to fish than prettyboy and liberty and holds some FAT lm's
