Actually... I don't really think you are going to have problems going north or south... not going too deep..

I think, from what has been going on and what you experienced last week end with the group..
Is the spot are going to be nice and big and happy fat for the frying pan.

Where as, from my limited experience... it is better to use the small ones for live lining.

Reminds me of the Sushie Shop that opened up next to the Fenwick Island Oyster Bay Tackle location some years ago.
The Tackle Shop said they had fresh bait... the Sushie Shop said the had fresh sushie... hmmm right next door to each other.
So... like... are you going to be eating bait... or sushie !
    So tomorrow...
At least you know the "bait" you are going to be catching is fresh for the pan that night !

And then... well.. of course there was always Perms and Worms... back in the day...

Without going into detail on exactly where we were, we were casting to structures, not trolling, chumming, or livelining. We caught fish south of the bridges today. Only 3 of the ~100 fish we got today were found at the lighthouse. And we had the luxury of a 70-hp motor to push us around wherever we wanted to go. So please don't modify your plans based on our report unless you prefer Triton Beach for other reasons.

I've only fished the bridge once, and never been to Triton. The launch at SPSP is nice....the bridge is a bit intimidating being around the pilings....and it's noisy.

Triton is a beautiful launch and once you get out about 100 yards the fishing gets better. Don't forget about the rip rap next to the beach, they might hold perch

I fish the eastern side bc I like that there is more structure to jig around and move on to the next one until I get into a school. I work my wAy out that cross over and work the other side if I haven't found them. I mostly jig but will live line on occasion. For those that haven't launched from Terrapin Beach park, there isn't a ramp area like sandy point... You will need to cart your kayak for about 15 minutes to the beach. From the beach your about another 20 min till your out near the eastern spans/pilings. You will also need a parking permit now...they are 10 for the day I think for non residence of the county. The kent island depot(gas station next to airport on rt 8) and Western Tire and Auto sell them. Prob the closest to the park. Others are in the link http://www.qactv.com/recreation/new-...-annes-county/
You might get away with parking in the business complex bc I have heard of others doing that. However, I'm not sure if they started to crack down on that yet.

We found a lot of shorts out of Triton Beach. I didn't keep track of how many fish I caught, but at least 25 stripers. Best one I successfully put in the kayak was 19 3/4", I threw one back that was right on the 18" mark and didn't want to chance it. I lost one close to the boat that probably would have gone 24 inches, it broke my heart when it threw the hook.

At any rate, it was a good day on the water.

Went out at the BB today with the intention of bringing home a mess of spot. Brought home 20. The wife was happy. Hung out at the rock piles at 12 and 13. Nice day on the water.

I hit the Eastern side today. Didn't stArt out too well, while securing my kayak to my kayak cart, I snapped one one side support. Luckily I was able to spin it around to get enough support on the kayak without it falling off. Homemade cart lasted since 2009. Than when I got to the beach, in all the cart issue I forgot my bungie cords to secure the cart to the back of my kayak. So off I went back to my car.

Made it out and started fishing the southern span first working the pilings around 49 and out. It took awhile but after about an hour I finally jigged a small striper. Worked my way out and hooked into a few more. After fishing one of the pilings I looked out to see where a few other guys where fishing and I noticed on a double piling next to me....out by span... The water was boiling. Immediately I headed over and as I got closer I could see stripers breaking..ends up landing a few more there. So far all stripers were running from 12-16 ish. After playing there for awhile I headed to search for some larger stripers. I left them still feeding on and off there. Hit the north span and first set of pilings and I landed a 24inch striper. It was in bad shape with the mycobacterium. Worked the pilings heading back to the shoreline and picked up 2 more and lost one that took a lot of line. Ended up not being to bad of a day but had to work for them. Hopefully the 30 inchers show up in schools this year. Didn't get them last year schooled up.

We trolled almost exclusively today. I pulled a Norman Middle N in "Lavender Shad" on one rod and a red 1/2oz jig head with white 4" zMan paddle tail on the other.

I ended up having to change to a Middle N in White-Green Fleck after something ripped the front hook off my lavender shad. I've had these lures for many years, so I had to look up the color "names" on the web, but they still make them. The Middle N has been my go to for fresh water, now for salt too.

When we decided to call it a day and troll back to the launch there were fish busting bait on the surface all over the place but we couldn't get any hook ups.

Caught a 15" striper by hand. It was swimming lethargicly on top of the water. I saw it and grab it by the tail.
