Looks like we have about 15 for fishing so far. Hopefully we don't get much precip from this storm comming in and the river can continue to clear up.

So I'm planning on coming out, but I might not make it.
No worries, if I could be at Mardi Gras I wouldn't even be thinking about fishing. If you can make we would love to here some Mardi Gras stories at lunch.

Hopefully the water clears up and warms up by then.

My Daddy's favorite catfish bait was raw pork liver left out in the sun to "Ripen" up a bit, but I couldn't stomach the smell and I hate the stink it gets on your hand baiting up hooks- so I use chunks of menhaden and haven't had any issues with bites- most anything that puts out an oil or smelly stuff works pretty good- they are master scavengers and not much misses their mouth-

I plan on bringing some kind of stripped fish or chunks, if I am able to find any and some raw chicken breast. I figure that would cover all my needs. Any suggestions?
I'm going with chicken strips as they are just easy to get and transport.
